Domestic violence (Battering) is against the law. Everyone should have the right to live without physical, sexual, verbal, mental, or emotional violence or the fear of such abuse. This event is designed to help raise awareness in the fight against violence as well as to celebrate and give honor to survivors who stood up to stop violence in homes. The purpose of this event is to educate all attendees and provide information so they would know what to do if they were caught in a bad situation; to let them know that there are places for them to go and people to talk to about it.
