2015 Red Heart Affair Gala
Thank you to everyone who supported this year's Red Heart Affair" gala on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Special thanks to Chase Ritenauer, Mayor of Lorain for presenting a proclamation proclaiming the last Saturday in February as National Wear Red Day in Lorain County.
The Red Heart Affair gala is dedicated to bringing awareness to heart disease - the number one killer of men and women. We had a wonderful time celebrating and giving honor to the following who have suffered and survived various heart conditions or stroke: Catherine Bosley, Nelson Bracy, Carletta Dunlap, Kelvin Irby, Renee Jeffries, Garlan McCruter Sr, Candice Monroe, Jeffri Norris, Fred Rush Sr, Jordan Simmons, Zoe Tanner, Jaliyah Winborn and Yvonda "Bonnie" Woodwards. (Not pictured: Brenda Adams and Lyle Jackson)
Special thanks to 19 Action News Anchor/Reporter - Harry Boomer who for the third year in a row served as emcee for the evening.
Special thanks also goes out to: our sponsors Carter Funeral Home and Family Heritage Insurance; to all businesses who gave items for the Chinese raffle; and to those who gave monetary donations and/or gave of their time in support of the organization.
MARK YOU CALENDAR NOW for next year's Red Heart Affair Gala which will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016.
